CAN-FD not usable with HW FIFO in TC267D

Hello,

I am working on Aurix TC26x to implement CAN-FD by the use of the MultiCAN+ peripheral.

Starting from our classic can implementation with a HW-FIFO for reception I was quickly able to receive CAN-FD frames but the "extra" FD data bytes never ended up in the MO's the TOP and BOT pointer points to.

I checked the user manual, CAN-FD is never mentioned along with HW-FIFO. Also the illd demo CAN-FD project does not utilize a HW-FIFO.

That made me wonder, I eliminated our FIFO structure so I would have only one single MO for reception and it worked fine and exactly as described in the UM.

My question is now the following. Is it true, CAN-FD cannot be utilized in a HW-FIFO structure?
