Hi
Current UDE Installation is not always able to recognize the Onboard Debug Adapter. The USB identifer string of Shieldbuddy has been recently changed.

It looks like something has changed in the new UDE 4.08, which was released 3 weeks ago. We will check this!

This a known problem but there is now a fix.
Attached is a new component for UDE 4.8 starterkit version. Unzip (password ‘pls’) and copy the DLL to UDE installation folder (usually C:\Program Files (x86)\pls\UDE Starterkit 4.8).
This fix will be incorporated into the Hightec free entry toolchain installer soon.

I have the same problem. PLS has told me ShieldBuddy is compatible with the free UDE license.
Any suggestion?
Thank you very much,
Manuel

The current Free toolchain contains the fixed UDE debugger so it should work.
