Hi,
I am able to program my ShieldBuddy using the Arduino IDE, but for debugging I would like to use Eclipse+UDE. Compiling the Empty.cpp in Eclipse works, but launching UDE aborts with the following errors:

Checkout license from target serial no.:
UDELicenseServer check aborted:
no valid serial no. - no valid key ID

Checkout license from additional communication device:

Checkout license from external license key (USB/LPT):

It seems that UDE cannot read the serial number. Any idea what might be wrong?

Thanks for the quick reply. I reinstalled everything (freetoolchain, Arduino IDE, ShieldBuddy IDE), but the error is still the same. It doesn't matter if I simply try to upload a program (as described in section 1.4 of the user manual) or if I set up the debugger (as decribed in section 1.5). Neither a start as admin nor as normal user works.
Additional observations:
The board seems to be reset (the red LED next to the reset switch is flashing twice) when I open ShieldBuddyWorkspace_27xC.wsx. After this reset a blinking LED example (uploaded with the Arduino IDE) stops blinking.

For example the full v4.10 version for the UAD2? We have had a number of reports of this licence problem in the last week or so it might be that PLS have changed something.

No, I don't have any other PLS software installed. I couldn't find a UDE USB debugger download on pls-mc.com. The page links to www.infineon.com/cms/en/product/microcontroller/32-bit-tricore-microcontroller/#!tools. There (under Free TriCore Tools) I could only find the original link to free-entry-toolchain.hightec-rt.com/ I redownloaded the tool chain but this is exactly the same version which I installed a few hours ago. The ude directory contains a setup file for ude with file-version 4.8.0.0, product version 2.08.00 and update date Feb. 10. 2017 10:03
Do you have a direct link to the latest UDE USB debugger?

This is part of the free entry toolchain. You could try contacting support@pls-mc.com and see if they know what the problem is!

Thus I should have the up-to-date version. I contacted PLS yesterday, hopefully they can provide a solution.
